Yanniv is a plant biologist with a PhD from Stanford University. He was selected for the Forbes 30 Under 30: Science and Healthcare Europe 2019 list.

Yanniv spent over a decade in academia studying plant biology. He holds a PhD in Biology from Stanford University, where he was awarded the Charles Yanofsky Prize for "most outstanding graduate student working in the field of molecular biology". Before his PhD, he worked on multiple research projects spanning different areas of plant biology at Harvard University, at the University of Cambridge, and at the Weizmann Institute of Science. His work earned him two prestigious fellowships at Stanford, and he was selected as an American Society of Plant Biologists scholar. In 2019, Yanniv was chosen for Forbes 30 Under 30: Science and Healthcare Europe. Yanniv is passionate about entrepreneurship, agtech and foodtech. While at Stanford, he was selected to participate in Stanford’s accelerator program, Cardinal Ventures, as well as in the Ignite program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Yanniv holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, to which he was admitted with the highly competitive “Normalien” fellowship.
