Account Manager: In agriculture – crop farming and/or animal husbandry

At Klim, we work with farmers and food companies to make regenerative agriculture scalable and financially attractive for farmers. Through our platform, we support farmers in improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, and sequestering carbon – while simultaneously developing new, reliable sources of income.

We are a Berlin-based AgriTech startup with $22 million in Series A funding and work with global food companies like Nestlé and Kaufland to reduce emissions along their supply chains and build long-term resilience. Since 2020, we have supported 3,500 farmers who collectively cultivate over 900,000 hectares.

Your mission:

* You will manage our supply chain projects and take on and develop projects with partners from the food industry to make their value chain more sustainable and reduce emissions.

* You convince farmers to collaborate with us on projects and to be open to a long-term, step-by-step expansion of regenerative measures.

* You will support farmers who work with us, building strong and trusting relationships in the process.

* You ensure that the project goals are met and you develop creative methods if they are at risk.

* You develop strategies for the successful execution of your projects and implement them throughout the year.

Your profile:

* You have several years of professional experience and possess skills in project management and regenerative agriculture. Ideally, you have experience with dairy farms and/or arable farming and their challenges.

* Connection to agriculture: You grew up on a farm, have completed agricultural training or studies. Agriculture is close to your heart and you understand the challenges of the industry.

* You have a thirst for knowledge about solutions and measures to master the challenges in agriculture in the long term and sustainably, and to implement these with farms.

* You enjoy working in a team, readily accept help, and are willing to contribute your skills to the team.

* You enjoy and are skilled at direct, personal, telephone, and written communication with farmers. You treat them as equals and find common ground and solutions.

* You are motivated by the opportunity to explore new fields and to participate in and build a new market.

* You can make decisions in the best interests of the projects and enjoy finding practical solutions that you can implement in the short term.

* You speak fluent German and English.
