Job description
We are looking for a Poultry Sales Representative (M/F) to develop our sales activity in the field, primarily in Western France (Brittany, Pays de la Loire). Excellent French skills are essential for this position.
At the intersection of sales and technology, you will be Phagos’s primary contact for poultry farmers and veterinarians in the poultry industry. You will prospect new farms, present our phage-based solution, close sales, and support deployment at each site. Your role is central to converting initial interest into concrete adoption and revenue growth.
Main missions
* Prospect and develop a portfolio of poultry farms (broiler chickens, laying hens) in your area, from initial contact to signing.
* To present and popularize our phage-based solution to farmers and veterinarians, clearly demonstrating its value.
* Supporting the deployment and commissioning at each new site, in close collaboration with our field technicians and the future Customer Success team.
* Build a lasting relationship of trust with each farm to retain and grow your accounts.
* Relay field feedback to internal teams (product, science, sales) to refine our offering and build robust and scalable sales processes.
Preferred experience
* 2 to 5 years of experience in field sales or in a technical-commercial role, ideally in animal health, animal nutrition, agricultural supplies or livestock.
* Good knowledge of the livestock sector (the poultry sector is a plus) and/or the animal health ecosystem.
* Technical proficiency: ability to understand a scientific solution and explain it simply.
* A genuine love of the field, autonomy and a knack for connecting with farmers.
* Strong prospecting, negotiation and closing skills.
* Driving licence B and mobility within the sector (frequent travel to farms).
* You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoy building processes from scratch.
* Within a small but rapidly expanding team, transparent communication, mutual respect, and mutual support are essential.
* Professional English preferred.
* Prior experience in biotech, agriculture or animal health is a plus.
