To achieve our ambitious goal, we are looking for a motivated software engineer to join our dynamic team. Your work will focus on writing, reviewing, and optimizing bioinformatics scripts and pipelines, ensuring robust, efficient data processing in our bioinformatics team. Your Responsibilities

*Write, understand, and review Python, Bash, R, and Nextflow scripts in bioinformatics workflows

*Review, understand and optimize, and streamline existing bioinformatic pipelines, especially the infrastructure facilitating the logistics of input intermediate and output data

*Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians to provide scripting and technical support, refactor code according to best practice standards keeping ease of maintenance in mind

*Maintain the modular structure of our codebase

Desired profile
Required:

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

*Proficiency in Python, Docker, and HTML

*Professional working proficiency in English (both writing and spoken).

Nice-to-Have (in order of priority):

*Prior knowledge in bioinformatics

*Able to present results with proper visualization

*Proficiency in R

*Familiarity with pipeline automation tools like Nextflow

*Proficiency with PostgreSQL
