Summary

Aigen is an agrobotics company that makes small autonomous weeding robots. The robots are completely solar powered and use a combination of mechanical and electrical weeding dependent on the size of the weed. Aigen's first market will be the sugar beets where farmers face glyphosate resistant weeds and regulatory pressure to get rid of glyphosate all together.

Why We Invested

  • We believe that having small autonomous robots that are solar powered and do not need charging or fuel would unlock additional layers of autonomous farming that are currently and in the future unavailable for larger autonomous OEMs.
  • Exceptional team: CEO is an entrepreneur with a successful track record. The technical team is from Tesla, Boeing & Google.
  • Strong investor syndicate with NEA leading the round.
