Ofer Lavi CEO/Cofounder
Before Dataspan Ofer spent a decade at IBM Research AI. There, he led a deep learning research group before joining IBM’s AI leadership team to contribute to the company’s AI strategy. In his role as Technical Program Manager for Natural Language Processing and Customer Care, he was responsible for coordinating between IBM’s internal research groups and external collaborators, aligning research activities with the broader corporate strategy. Lavi holds an MS degree in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, where his research was in the field of bioinformatics. Throughout his career, he has published over twenty patents and papers.
Elad Shaked CTO/Cofounder
Before cofounding Dataspan Elad was an AI Research Engineer at SparkBeyond. SparkBeyond develops AI platforms for Fortune 500 companies which are used to generate actionable insights from complex and diverse data sources. Prior to SparkBeyond, he was at IBM for seven years. Elad’s tenure at IBM began as a Software Engineer in the Machine Learning Technologies group at the Haifa Research Lab. He then transitioned to a Researcher position, becoming a research staff member in the Language and Conversation group.Elad holds a MEng in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and a BS in Physics and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
